Barley’s hosting 25th annual homebrew competition | Drink Up Columbus

Calling all homebrewers! Barley’s Brewing Company is hosting their 25th Annual Homebrew Competition which will culminate with the annual Afternoon with the Brewers event on April 5.

Those interested in entering the competition can drop off their entries at Barley’s. Each style will require three (3) unlabeled twelve ounce (12 oz) bottles. The drop off dates are March 17-21 between the hours of 11am and 5pm. Contest forms can be found here.

The public is then invited to attend the final judging and winning beer announcements at the annual Afternoon with the Brewers event. Barley’s brewmaster Angelo Signorino and other local brewers will judge the entries and Barley’s will tap last year’s winning beer, a Northern English Brown Ale from homebrewer Jim Sudduth. The winner of this year’s contest will get to produce their beer at Barley’s to feature at next year’s event.

Afternoon with the Brewers will take place Sunday, April 5 from 1-4pm at Brewcadia above Barley’s Brewing Company at 467 N High Street.
