Gemini Espresso Maker : Coffee

I was browsing this sub to see if there were any reviews/opinions on this stovetop espresso maker from the MoMA Design store, but was surprised to see I couldn’t find anything – a lot of the posts are about a Moka Pot (are they the same thing?). I’m considering getting it for my boyfriend as an anniversary gift because he doesn’t have an espresso maker (he has a Chemex and an OXO Brew), but want to make sure there aren’t any glaring issues. We aren’t coffee connoisseurs by any means, just like to enjoy a latte/cappuccino every once in a while.
