We tried it straight, over ice, in a hurricane and a daiquiri, and always the same overpowering taste of, for lack of a better description, gasoline. Is it just us, this style, this brand, or what?
This was really unexpected, as we are a fan of peat, particularly as expressed in Islay single malt. No problem sipping Lagavulin 16 Year Old, or even Laphroaig 10 Year Old with just a little water. But no love for the taste of this bottle of Clement.
Any suggestions on what to do with this? Or recommendation for a different Rum Agricole?
