Hi everyone! I just got my first electrical grinder and I’m excited! I was grinding with a manual burr grinder, the Hario Skerton, before, and since I usually drink French Press, the coarser grind was always wildly inconsistent!
Having read up on Baratza’s recommended grind settings, I tried their 28 for the French Press, but it comes out not much different to my Hario in my opinion (taste wise and consistency wise).
Would love to hear your input on these settings, whether they seem consistent to you, and which would you most likely choose as a starting point for a French Press? I’ve included a range of other sizes, since I’ve read that many times the Encore/Virtuoso machines are calibrate differently. It would be great to get some of your eyes on this as I want to start my coffee journey off on the right foot. 🙂
